Samantha Braund
Freelance Marketing Executive in England, UK
Hi, I’m Sam and I’m here to build bridges between you and your customers. I’m a Freelance Marketing Manager who has a varied resume of marketing roles across industries. My marketing knowledge is wide-ranging and I use a mix of strategy and creativity to aid your businesses in producing effective marketing that represents you.
I’ve worked with charities, universities and small businesses on a range of marketing needs to help my clients optimise their communications and strategy.
At the University of Bath, I assisted the International Relations team with both internal and external communications. From writing stories of international academic interest to content creation and promotional material design, I worked with the team to ensure all of their audiences stayed up to date with this exciting, varied and fast-paced team.
Green Planet Ventures was a new charity that needed someone who could support them to create a digital strategy and do the behind-the-scenes magic needed before they launched their first fundraising campaigns. This role involved strategising and communicating with the board of trustees to create a road map to success to help in the battle to save our planet!
I worked on Social Media and Promotion for the Global Opportunities team at Keele University. Creating and implementing a social media strategy primarily aimed at students going through the application stages of studying abroad involved making many posts about our partner universities and keeping students up to date on all the upcoming events and deadlines. I also created promotional materialsfor partner universities and spoke at events about my own time abroad to outgoing and incoming students.
During COVID I worked with the wonderful Beachwood Cancer Care Centre, which provides alternative therapies and bereavement counselling, to create a digital strategy that helped them reach more people in need, advertise volunteering opportunities and showcase their work.
At Sue Hailstones Designs, a handmade glass jewellery designer, I consulted on the artist’s plans to enter the wedding industry. This involvedconsulting on the new website being created and organising a wedding-themed photoshootwith vendors in the wedding industry.
