After growing up in Toronto, Ontario where I split my time between the skating rink, school and my favourite reading chair, I headed east to Kingston, Ontario to study English Literature at Queen's University. Chasing my love for literature I then planted roots where it all began while pursuing an MSc in Literature and Modernity from The University of Edinburgh. Eager to continue living abroad after finishing my degree I began work at Fettes College, where I managed a busy sports department while also maintaining their website and social media channels. In 2015 I returned to Canada, where I began working with Splash Effect as a Community Manager, working closely with leaders in post-secondary education to bring their communities into the digital space. In 2016 I became Splash Effect's Content Market Manager, expanding my focus to content and digital marketing strategy while still maintaining a strong hold on social media engagement.

I live and breathe social media. While Instagram is (currently) my favourite platform on which to share, you can find me pretty much everywhere @TartanAndThyme. Tartan and Thyme is also the name of my personal blog and is the culmination of many years of blogging and sharing online. With this blog, I feel I have truly found my voice.

When I am not online I love to travel, hike & camp. You can also find me playing board games with friends, reading a great book, or dreaming up something new to cook in the kitchen. I have also been living with a capsule wardrobe for the last year and it has completely changed the way I approach fashion and life in general.
