I am a Psychotherapist, currently licensed in both Washington and New Mexico states, and in process of relocating from Santa Fe, NM to Seattle, WA in late December 2015. As a Louisiana native, I moved to Santa Fe in 2009 to complete my master's degree from a non-traditional and consciousness-centered college. Prior to graduate studies, I began my career in Louisiana as a certified addictions counselor in training at the age of 23 while completing my bachelor's degree in psychology. My future plans over the next three to five years are to obtain concentrated training in Jungian Analysis and Expressive Arts therapies, two modalities most resonate in reflecting my philosophy of therapeutic care.

Regarding my therapeutic approach, I strongly believe a continued commitment to personal self-awareness and self-care is essential so that I may move in deeper attunement with the clients I serve. As a daily supportive practice, I attempt to open to life again and again, especially during times when my own or another's stories could lead to a bitter and hardened heart. One of my professors once said, "The degree of change for a client is related to your own allowance of impact, first as a human being and then as a therapist." I have found this sentiment to be grounded in truth, especially within more recent years.

To illuminate self-other relational dynamics, I incorporate various theories, modalities and techniques in the counseling process specific to the client population served. Counseling sessions are relationally directed between myself-client through experiencing the here-and-now, ebb and flow of 'leaning in and allowing that.' The 'that' as the slow surfacing of all the unacceptable, rejected, and disowned parts as well as the unclaimed inner truths, capacity for self-resourcing, and unique gifts encompassing the whole self.
