Samantha Krahenbuhl

Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States

Samantha Krahenbuhl was born and raised in the heart of the Fox River Valley. Oshkosh has been her home for her entire life. She grew up in a loving family and has one younger brother. The Fox River Valley is known for its active communities and friendly people, truly the Midwest. There are outdoor activities galore with lakes, rivers and streams. There are areas for downhill ski hills, hiking trails, parks, athletic fields, theater, dance studios, and great schools and universities, all of which are important to Samantha.

As a child, Samantha was active in a number of different activities. Swim lessons began at an early age. She participated in girl scouts and gymnastics as well. At age 8 she found a niche that became a very big part of her life for many years. She began classes at Julie’s Touch of Silver Dance Studio in baton twirling, jazz, ballet and hip hop. These lessons evolved into the Juvenile and then Senior Baton Twirling Corps. For many years, Samantha Krahenbuhl competed in her age level in baton twirling and dance. She has been awarded many State, Regional, World and Grand World Titles/Gold metals with her baton twirling corps. She became a dance and baton twirling instructor at the studio and shared her gift with the young girls and boys who wanted to learn. She enjoyed her high school Homecoming games, performing dance and twirling a fire baton for the crowd. She was a very good student in school, and “polished” her education pathway in the direction of Dental Hygiene. She was able to complete some college level credits while in High School. This gave her a direct pathway to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s dental hygiene program after only one year of college at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh.

She spent two and a half years absorbed in learning her new career. Meanwhile, she had begun her dental interest a few years earlier, helping with weekly marketing and had job title of expediter at a large dental practice in the valley. That job continued on and she added another dentistry job as a sterilization assistant. This progressed into chairside dental assisting. This was a huge advantage for Samantha in her dental career to then graduate with a Degree of Dental Hygiene, a Certification in Administering Local Anesthetic, and also be a trained dental assistant. A few years later she received her National Certification in Chairside Dental Assisting. She became director of Weekend Dental Assistant School and h
