I am a Account Manager at digital marketing agency Blonde.

Degree

I graduated with a First Class (hons) degree in Marketing from Aston University. I received a prize for the 2nd Best Communications Pitch for marketing agency Billington Cartmell.

Modules included: (Advanced) Marketing Communications, E-Marketing, Strategic Brand Management, International Marketing and Services Marketing. I also undertook modules in other areas, including psychology, economics, accounting and law.

Placement Year - IBM, London

As part of my degree I undertook a placement year as European marketing assistant at IBM in London. There I lead digital communications programmes, managed events and wrote articles, newsletters and other marketing collateral. I also managed large budgets, created tracking reports and worked closely with country-level marketing managers to exceed targets.

Agency Experience

During my placement I worked closely with marketing and communication agencies. I realised I loved the excitement and variety of working on a number of client accounts, developing marketing strategies to delight and create client satisfaction. I undertook a summer internship at marketing agency eskimosoup managing market research projects, and spent three months after university working as an SEO Executive at digital marketing agency HeadRed.
