Samantha Shepherd

Hello!

I’m Samantha Shepherd, a student of the Technical Writer program at Algonquin College. I have a background in Biology and teaching English as another language.

I taught English in China for four years and loved the experience, but came to realize that I wanted a career more tailored to my interests. Technical writing is a perfect fit. It combines some of my favourite aspects of Biology and teaching (constructing precise, straightforward reports and crafting audience-appropriate lesson plans) with new software and editing skills.

I am incredibly excited to create useful, professional documentation in the tech writing field.
