Samantha von Ende is a connoisseur of ideas and a renewable source of energy. Sam hails originally from Kansas City, but has lived and studied in several locations across the globe. She is an amateur poet, a perpetual activist, a future advocate and teacher. A student of science, ethics, and law, Samantha is devoted to utilizing empathy, scientific knowledge, applied rationality, and her background in journalism and the social sciences to affect profound change in such areas as constitutional design, constitutional interpretation, education and health policy, prison reform, media matters, and environmental activism.

As a law student at Indiana University, Samantha studies both constitutional law and law and science and serves on the executive board of several student organizations. She performs pro bono work with the Maurer LGBT Research Project, has served as a representative to the greater IU Student Sustainability Counsel, and works as both a research assistant to several law professors and as a JD affiliate at the Center for Constitutional Democracy.

Samantha credits her family, community of close friends, and the American Hebrew Academy as the sources of her strength, drive, and success.
