Hi.

I’m Samara. I’m a Local and County Labour Councillor living in Rossendale, Lancashire.

Im passionate about representation in politics and ensuring our local & national elected members truly represent the people they serve.

I love where I live and make sure that I always do my level best for those in my ward, division, Borough and indeed County.

I campaign about community safety, the cost of living crisis, food insecurity, period poverty, speeding, making misogyny a hate crime.

I'm particularly interested in making our ‘place’ somewhere that people want to work, raise a family in, feel safe in and grow old in.

I also provide PHSE lessons in schools on Politics (none partisan), Local Leadership and Community Action.

I'm a Co-Founder of Safer Rossendale and a governor at Haslingden Primary School.

I am also on the Exec Committee as the Affected Communities Lead for UKAPTB and have attended the APPG for Worldwide Tuberculosis.

Outside of politics, I work for a national children's charity.
