Samara Rivas

My name is Samara, but I go by Sam. I was born and raised in Lansing, MI and moved to Harrison the start of my freshman year of high school. I am an Administrative Assistant Professional and have worked in the administrative field for three years. I am currently engaged and am to be married in August of 2024. I am also in the Army National Guard and serve as a CBRN Specialist.

Outside of work I like to crochet and make things. I have piqued interest in making clay flowers and gluing them onto clear claw clips. I also like to make T-shirts and car decals. I have two dogs, Browning and Daisy Mae, and a cat, Roxy. I spend a lot of time caring for them as well. I am also a big reader, my favorite genre would be Peotry. I feel that there is just so much emotions and I love to think about how the writer is feeling and what they are going through as they write their piece.

I think one thing that has always been an upside for me is that I am able to balance wokr and home life fairly well. Sometimes I bring home work but I try to get all my work done and leave work brain at work. I know when I am tasked with a job to do i give my all into it. I do the research and come up with a plan to be able to do it successfully.
