Between 2013 and 2016 Sam Chandler worked in Rumson, New Jersey, as a soccer referee with Rumson Recreation. In this role he presided over games for both the youth soccer and travel soccer leagues. Prior to serving as a referee he completed a 16-hour training course, as well as additional four hour modules. During his time as a soccer referee, Sam Chandler also spent two years as a busboy at Temple Restaurant in Red Bank. He ultimately secured the position of head busboy, a role that involved a variety of client interactions and support during scheduling situations. More recently he spent time as a sales associate with Canyon Pass Provisions in Fair Haven.

Mr. Chandler has studied as a National Honors Society (NHS) student at Rumson Fair Haven High School and Blair Academy. As a high school student athlete he led the NHS as vice president and achieved all division recognition in baseball. At Blair Academy he takes multiple advanced placement (AP) courses and is the founder of the Blair Academy dodgeball club.
