I want to be that artist-with at least one song that is labeled “timeless.” My music is the kind that has certain sounds and parts. Some take you back to something you may have heard before, but you will always remember where and when you first heard Sam DeRosa. It’s the familiarity that lies within every song of pop music that makes me so infatuated with it. I write often, and whatever it is that I’m writing about, I commit to it 100%. The world will never lose its need for entertainment and good music. The classics that we listen to, 40 some odd years after they were released, is what it’s all about. Being a songwriter allows you to connect with the world through your honesty and creativity. If you’re lucky enough, you are known worldwide, and that is where you have the opportunity to leave behind a legacy-to never be forgotten.
