Sam Downie’s expertise as a broadcaster extends from Network TV and Radio into Journalism, Webcasting, Netcasting & Podcasting.

Sam Downie also works as a web & print journalist and a producer in TV & Radio.

He delivers talks on a range of topics including Technology, Gadgets, Social Entrepreneurship, Living with Epilepsy and Innovation.

Sam’s other skills and acclaims include helping to launch the world’s 1st Wikipedia town (Monmouth, Wales) as well as being named a “Digital Noisemaker” and a "Web Celebrity" according to Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

In June 2011, Sam Downie was chosen by BT Communications (the UK's Internet and Communications giant sponsoring the London 2012 Olympic's) as a "BT Storyteller" one of 100 people chosen to make a digital record of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the 2012 Paralympic Games and the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Sam's coverage included podcasts, interviews and he also got to take over the large screen atop of the BT Tower in London, broadcasting the Olympic news as it happened via text and images.
