Sameer Bhutiani

Sameer Bhutiani, International E-commerce General Manager/Director at Sears Holdings, understands that business is constantly evolving. Accordingly, he has dedicated himself to continually improving himself through ongoing education. Sameer Bhutiani’s knowledge and ability to adapt and learn has greatly benefited his employers throughout his career. In 1990, Sameer Bhutiani enrolled in the Manipal Institute of Technology at Mangalore University. He graduated from this college in India with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering in 1995. From there, Mr. Bhutiani entered the workforce, first in Qatar and then in Canada, before returning to school to further his education. After completing work on the Ontario Power Generation Inc. Y2K project in Toronto, Canada, for EDS/SHL Systemhouse, Mr. Bhutiani entered the University of Western Ontario. He attended the Richard Ivey School of Business at the university from 1999 to 2001. Sameer Bhutiani graduated in April 2001 with a Master of Business Administration in Strategy and Marketing. Following this degree, Sameer Bhutiani took a position with Lucent Technologies. He took on key responsibilities in the various roles he held at Lucent and later, at the now merged, Alcatel-Lucent. Despite these demands on his time and resources, Sameer Bhutiani began taking a number of self-improvement courses in 2002, an endeavor he continues to this day. Courses he has successfully completed include Conflict Management, Ethics, Financial Reporting, and TL 9000. In 2003, Sameer Bhutiani added training workshops to his schedule. He completed the first, a breakthrough leadership workshop, in June of that year. The following year, he also finished a workshop on becoming an organization leader. The knowledge he has gained from his university education, additional training, and workshops allows Mr. Bhutiani to keep up with all the latest business and technological trends, increasing his abilities as a leader in these fields.
