Samia B, PharmD

I graduated with a doctorate of pharmacy in 2014. As a student, I have contributed to a broad range of activities, such as writing articles for the school newspaper, serving as a first responder during on-campus emergencies, working as a student employee at the women's center and taking on leadership roles in various faith-based and cultural organizations. I have interned at an internal medicine ward and ambulatory care center of a large, 800 bed, level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital, pharmacy departments of 200-500 bed hospitals, retail pharmacies and federal health government agencies. I have had experience teaching introductory pharmacy practice and infectious disease lectures to junior pharmacy students.

My professional interests include: clinical practice, infectious disease, diabetes education, informatics, toxicology and poison control, public health: epidemiology, health disparities, global health, social and behavioral health. Also interested in Python and R programming for statistical analysis in healthcare.

Aside from healthcare, I am interested in journalism, hip-hop, sports, art and photography.
