Sam (popularly called ocheze) is a social entrepreneur who believes that the future of civil society lies in increasingly blurring the line between the for-profit and non-profit sectors through open-source solutions in health, education and leadership. He is working to create digital literacy programs for basic education and digital literacy in urban and rural schools, through his social venture, RIGHT CLICK. He has extensive experience in youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship and digital literacy. He volunteered for 3 years with RADIO I, a community radio station that built mutual respect and understanding among students and solely advocated youth creativity, media/civic literacy and infotainment in the university community. He was also a student member of Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE – now ENACTUS) and Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers(IEEE) both in his university. He is a State Alumnus, under the US Department of State sponsored program, Study of the US Institute (SUSI – social entrepreneurship) via the University of Connecticut, Storrs. He believes that every child, irrespective of their background, should have access to formative global and digital learning experiences which help youth unlock their potential to solve the urgent, borderless challenges we face as a human community. He was a Google Student Ambassador at his university where together with a G-team of five other students, train and enlighten undergraduate students and faculty on how use Google Apps for Education as tools to enhance the general learning experience.
He is currently developing a web project targeted at teaching young people web-skills in addition to providing affordable online advert services to small business enterprises.
