Dr. Sami A. Khan is a Professor of HRM in Faculty of Economics & Administration (An AACSB accredited Business Scool), King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. Prior to that, he taught at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. Dr. Khan has 23 years of Post-PhD experience of teaching, training and research in HRM. He also worked as Associate Professor & Head of the Business Studies Department at Mazoon University College, Muscat, Oman (affiliated to the Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, USA). Before that, he was Associate Professor & Head-HRM Area at the Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (IILM), New Delhi, India. Dr. Khan has also taught MBA courses at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He started his career from Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations & Human Resources, New Delhi, India as an Assistant Professor of HRM in 1995. Serving as Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow of UGC, Dr. Khan completed his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, India in 1993 in HRM. His book (Saini & Khan) titled, Human Resource Management: Emerging Perspectives in the New Era, was published by SAGE Publications in 2000.
Dr. Khan was felicitated with the best researcher award for consecutive years 2013 & 2014 and year 2017 by the FEA, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. He has developed a keen interest in leadership development and attended a week long training on “Clear Leadership” conducted by Gervase Bushe at Cape Cod Institute, Eastham, Massachusetts, US. Recently, he presented a paper on CSR and Work Environment at ICTBEL 2015 Conference at Oxford University.
