A run my own life coaching business. I coach people from all walks of life, including self-employed, busy mum's and young people. I work with people to find practical, sustainable solutions to their situations, leaving them feeling motivated and achieving their goals. I also offer training packages based on communicating with and engaging with people, along with specialist interventions in the substance use sector.
I gew up in Norfolk, UK before moving to York, to study a Psychology BSc. For a long time I knew I wanted to work with people in a supportive role, but had no idea exactly what. My teens and early adulthood was a time of trying different voluntary and paid roles to see what was out there.
In 2009, after a number of years working in the substance use sector, I began my training to become a life coach, and definitely had a 'Wow' moment. I felt like I had finally found a style of working with people, that uses all my skills and expertise in a way that feels right for me. I loved the fact that as a coach I am not there to tell people what to do or give advice, but help them find their solutions. I also found all my previous skills and experience, meant that I can really go with the client and adapt and respond my style depending on their needs.
In 2012, the opportunity to move back to Norfolk and focus on my business full-time (to fit around having lots of fun with my 3 year old son), and that is what I am doing now. Working for myself, offering coaching, as well as some consultancy and training. And I am loving it!
