Sam Lipshutz
Sam Lipshutz recently completed his education in accounting and currently works as a staff accountant. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accounting from the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting in 2009, after which he took the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam. As a student, he served the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity as its Treasurer, where he coordinated an operating budget of over $180,000. While a student at the University of Florida, Sam Lipshutz worked as a Financial Planning Intern for Ameriprise Financial, Inc. His duties included preparing tax returns, utilizing financial planning software, and developing personal financial plans. After earning his degrees in December of 2009, Sam Lipshutz began working as a Staff Accountant for Friedman, Cohen, Taubman & Co., LLC. Here, he uses his previous experience as an intern as he continues to prepare tax returns. Other responsibilities include preparing audits and other attestation engagements of public and private companies, performing financial accounting and tax services for clients, and taking on other projects as needed. Sam Lipshutz has also held part-time jobs at Target and a landscaping company. In addition to busy educational and professional careers, Sam Lipshutz makes time for several recreational and philanthropic activities. He has volunteered at Temple Dor Dorim, tutored students at Falcon Cove Middle School, prepared future college students for the SAT, and coached youth basketball at a local chapter of the YMCA of the USA. Sam Lipshutz remains deeply connected to his Jewish faith; he traveled to Israel through Taglit-Birthright Israel in 2006 and spent a summer working on a kibbutz there in 2008. Sam Lipshutz plays several sports, including basketball, football, tennis, and soccer. He relaxes by going to the beach and engaging in several water sports.
