The stories we tell ourselves about the construction of our identites are very important - however true they may, or may not be. The narritive I tell myself and that I tell other people is an epic adventure story. The story begins with myself as the hero, but the character quickly changes appearance and becomes a symbolic (not stereotypical) representative of humanity in general. I become one actor amongst many in a story millions of years old. Born in New Zealand and having lived in Australia, France and Germany, my story is one of dedicated passion. As an artist/communicator, I am interested in the creative imagination, in looking at multiple interpretations to multi-faceted problems. Refusing the method of "wrapping in cotton wool", I believe in practical life experience, in experience as a key in learning.
