At Turner-Gary Sports, he worked in Baseball Operations for two years, gaining experience in arbitration preparation, market analysis, free-agent strategy, and player representation. During this period, he also contributed to the agency's website development. In 2012, he joined the Detroit Tigers as an intern in Baseball Operations, assisting with salary arbitration preparation, negotiation analysis, player evaluations, and trade-related research.
His time with the Detroit Tigers spanned more than 14 years and included advancement through several leadership positions. Beginning as an intern, Menzin progressed through analyst, coordinator, and director roles before being named Vice President and Assistant General Manager in 2021. In that position, he oversaw teams across scouting, medical, performance, and player experience departments. He contributed to player acquisition decisions, contract negotiations, salary arbitration processes, and capital investment initiatives exceeding $100 million. He also served as the club's interim point of contact during a transition in baseball operations leadership.
