Sam Mizrahi is the President and founder of Mizrahi Developments, a private Canadian real estate development company that specializes in catering to the high-end, luxury marketplace and that values attention to detail, craftsmanship and architectural distinction.
In addition to leading Mizrahi Developments, Sam serves as President and founder of Northern Citadel Bancorp, a private company registered with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) as a Mortgage Investment Trust and Administrator (MIT).
Sam has been an entrepreneur in various ventures since the age of 16 and has over twenty years of experience in pinpointing business opportunities and monetizing them. His experience led to lucrative land investment opportunities in the Richmond Hill and Oak Ridges areas of the GTA.
In 1992, Sam founded Dove Cleaners. He successfully grew the company, turning it into the most significant luxury dry cleaning business in Canada. By 2005, Dove Cleaners had garnered a number of industry awards.
In 2008, Sam founded Mizrahi Developments. Initially, Mizrahi Developments focused on the development of high-end, custom-built homes in Forest Hill and other valuable neighbourhoods of the GTA.
Mizrahi Developments’ mid-rise boutique developments at 133 Hazelton, 1451 Wellington, 181 Davenport and 128 Hazelton have redefined what it means to build luxury condos in Canada.
Sam is hands-on in all aspects of his firm's business, working tirelessly in real estate acquisition, property amalgamation, community relations, zoning, marketing, and more.
In 2014, Mizrahi Developments announced its development of The One, a mixed-use high-rise located at the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Bloor Street, which is one of Canada's most sought-after real estate locations. Designed by London architectural firm Foster + Partners, The One will be the tallest residential tower in Canada at 85 storeys and will feature an exoskeleton design with structural supports on the exterior, allowing for maximum light and interiors free of supporting pillars. 10 floors of The One will also feature an Andaz Hotel, a world-renowned brand of hotel known for its sleek, yet welcoming interiors.
Sam is on the board of BILD and Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre. He also lends his time to the National Arts Council, actively supporting several committees and causes for the UJA.
