Hi, I am Sammy, a sophomore advertising mass communications major at LSU. Although I was born in California and then lived in Georgia for a few years, I was raised in Denver, Colorado for most of my life.

My first year of college, I attended the University of Kansas. After a great first year at KU, and several unforgettable basketball games, something deep down inside of me told me something was missing. A few months later, I decided I would transfer to Louisiana State University. LSU has been everything I could ever wish for in a University. I am so happy that I took the risk I did and came to Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge seems to be the perfect place to pursue my dreams.

The things I am passionate about boil down to three subjects- fashion, dancing and anything that has to do with creation. Creating ideas, creating art, creating stories, creating designs and so on, all appeal to me because I love expressing myself though various outlets. The love I have for expressing myself leads to my two other passions- dance and fashion.

I have been training in dance since I was four years-old. I have trained in all styles and have every intent on continuing to dance professionally in the future.

In addition, fashion is something I have been passionate about ever since I could say "Nordstrom." As another branch to express myself, fashion fascinates me in so many ways and inspires me daily.

I dream of pursuing a career in both professional dancing and advertising, but it would be ideal to work somehow with all of my passions converging.
