Samuel Odia is a man mindful of his musical gift to the world, creating a dynamic new caliber of music. Born in Kitwe and raised in Lusaka, Zambia, the passion keyboard player-songwriter and producer grew up in a Christian household, with his first memories of music influenced by his Father the late Hubert Odia (saxophonist). At only 12-years-old, Sam developed an interest for drums, till he later finally developed an interest for the piano/keyboards as his church’s (RCCG Jesus House) minister of music. Despite exhibiting such talent at a young age, Sam faced challenges expanding and adjusting to music beyond the many genres, but with a special-cause encounter with David Kasochi, afrored band leader inspired him through different musical paths and knowledge. His playing over the years has been inspired by international acts like Alain merville, Richard Williams, Jason Tyson, Rodney East, Bart Orr, Ay'Ron Lewis, Philip Feaster and David Outing. On the other one hand the Local inspirational acts like Luka K. Luka, Lazarus Zulu, Manasseh Phiri and Blessingtone Malenga. His talent has paved a way which saw him working with some of Zambia’s finest musicians including Wezi, Jay Rox, JK, Izrael, Kantu, Mumba Yachi, Chanda Mbao, Scott, Ariel, Muso Meyers, Jemimah Chulu, Roberto, Kaladoshas and many others. Well, having said atmost everything, Sam's big dream is to get to work/collaborate with artists/musicians like Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Leslie, Sonnie badu, Tim Godfrey, Jerkalyn Carr, Kim burrel, darrel walls, the walls group, Mali Music just a few to mention. As of now, Sam is working even harder with a lead(Odianation Music Renditions) sharing his gift, posting music on his soundcloud page, instagram... and experimenting with many different ideas.
