One Woman Army: Award-winning national entertainment and music journalist/columnist

By day Samantha is a national television critic for Sun Media, with a weekly column in all 50 Sun newspapers across Canada including the Toronto Sun, Ottawa Sun, Calgary Sun and London Free Press. And by night, she’s a prominent international music journalist, interviewing and reviewing some of the biggest names in music.

For the past three years, this One Woman Army has established herself as a prominent journalist and staple in the Canadian music industry contributing as a reporter, editor and photographer for numerous publications including Exclaim!, Noisey, Urbanology Magazine, Elite Daily, Thought Catalog, Def Pen, and Kevin Nottingham.

She has had hundreds of articles, reviews, photos and columns published in print, digital and online with knots on her interview belt that include Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Big K.R.I.T, DJ Drama, Ciara, Melanie Fiona, Tech N9ne, Kid Ink, Estelle and Freddie Gibbs and have reviewed projects/live shows from Kanye West to Lauryn Hill.

Samantha has also been featured as a guest speaker on Toronto radio stations G98.7FM and CHRY 105.5FM and took part in panel discussions such as The Art of Self-Promotion, and Manifesto’s Evolution Summit to speak with youth on social issues and the music industry.

From cover stories to think-pieces, Gold Medal Awards from the Columbia University Scholastic Press Association to a degree and diploma in journalism, Samantha strives daily to earn the title of One Woman Army.
