I am an Editor at vikalpa.org and a Researcher at Centre for policy Alternatives (cpalanka.org), currently based in Sri Lanka. My interests span arts, reading, movies, politics, and photography.

As a journalist (print and online), I specialize in studying social media trends, behaviors, and Generative AI, while also facilitating training and resources on social media, online spaces, and digital rights. With over 10 years of experience in peacebuilding, civic media, and digital security, I have worked extensively on media freedom, disinformation/ misinformation, online safety, and digital activism.

I am also the Curator of the Social Media Declaration (SMD) at socialmedialanka.org, where I contribute to shaping ethical and rights-based digital practices(Specially Social Media). Additionally, I collaborate with civil society organizations, researchers, and policymakers to promote responsible technology use and digital governance.

Beyond journalism and research, I actively engage in advocacy, public speaking, and capacity-building initiatives related to freedom of expression, democracy and human rights, online privacy, and emerging technologies.
