Samrat Dani
Samrat (Sam) Dani is an international banking executive who holds the complete vision across lines of businesses and global networks in order to effectively balance both customer benefits and business financials. His 10+ years’ direct experience plus his on-the-ground global business background enables him to facilitate deeper penetration of clients’ international needs, smooth execution on opportunities, and develop integrated, value-added solutions. With a strong combination of strategic thinking and relationship brokering, he has built a solid reputation as a trusted advisor with clients, prospects, and bankers.
Sam's solid upbringing and education has enabled him to be adaptable and take calculated risks. Upon graduating from AIT, he seized the adventure and reward of working for a large oil and gas engineering services firm in South East Asia. Sam and his wife relocated to the USA to begin their family and maximize opportunities for professional and personal growth. He then won a business development role with Arbros where he quickly established himself as a top 3 revenue producer. After Arbros closed post 9/11, Sam forged his way into banking at PNC by seeing the long-term gain of being willing to take a few steps back.
With this type of “startup” mentality and a clear view of the positive impact he could have on the vision of PNC, Sam has achieved four promotions over the past decade. His current role as VP of International Banking allows him to contribute his specialized expertise in India, ASEAN, and S. Korea while advising on all aspects of international banking for corporate and commercial clients in five states, including metro New York. He’s been championed for talent mapping due to his consistently taking on initiatives outside of his job description, turning around a challenging market, and proactivity in securing internal senior sponsors.
Passionate about helping other enterprising professionals succeed, Sam is a strategic advisor for a cutting-edge healthcare startup (that evolved out of his business school connections) and a growing fitness franchise. He has also been asked to share his expertise as a keynote speaker, mentor, and board member in the Asian business community.
