"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer." — R.M. Rilke
I love photography; finding the beauty in every day life is a way of living and brings joy to me when life becomes rough. I took this photo (my background) in the streets of New York City. I found it impeccable that within such art like graffiti, that many people find ugly, that a simple and beautiful message such as "love me" could be written.
I'm from North Carolina, but the University of Georgia has always been my dream school. Getting away from those I grew up with was also a plus.
I plan to graduate with a science major, preferably an animal science or wildlife degree. All I want in life is to enjoy nature, move somewhere like Africa, and work on an elephant sanctuary.
Elephants are my favorite animal. I love their family connections, how they too mourn the death of a loved one and do so every year on that day, their ability to never forget, and their plain desire to live.
