Sam Shapiro

Hi there. I was born and raised in Farmington Hills, MI. I got my undergraduate degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where I focused my studies on entrepreneurship. They let me deliver our commencement address at graduation, which was pretty cool.

In the past, I've had work experience with the TAMID Israel Investment Group, BillGuard, my videography company, and American Express.

Now, I'm an associate consultant in PwC's Advisory practice based out of Chicago.

My interests include:

• Travel: spent a summer in living in Israel, a few weeks in Eastern Europe (Bulgaria), and this past summer solo backpacking through SE Asia.
• Entrepreneurship: I want to start my own business someday. I read a lot of VCs blogs and stay up to date on the happenings of the tech world.
• The Great Outdoors: I once lived on an outpost in northern Ontario for a summer, and have explored several National Parks (Yosemite, Arches, Tetons, Rockies, amongst others). I also love fly fishing.
• Writing: I've written one screenplay and am currently hard at work on my second. Sometimes I share my writings here.
