Sam Shenton
Student and Photographer in Aberystwyth, United Kingdom
Hello! My name is Sam, and I’m originally from Leeds, West Yorkshire but now live in Aberystwyth, Wales. I’m a Politics graduate from Aberystwyth University and now continue my studies with a Masters degree in International Politics, specialising in Gender Politics and Leadership, but also with a keen interest in security studies and sub-state government.
By hobby I’m a photographer and like trains. I like travelling by train and taking pictures of various subjects, but especially railways. I also enjoy baking, reading and discussing current affairs. If coffee shop aficionado was a thing, I’d be one. I equally enjoy a strong G&T and a good cuppa.
Following my Masters degree, I aim to complete a PhD looking at Gender and Leadership style in an age of populism across the United States and European Union. I believe this will help us analyse how populists come to power, and how women leaders have differed to overwhelmingly male populist politicians.
