Hi, I'm Sam. I came to journalism by force when a high school teacher put me on the newspaper staff. There weren't any other classes I could get into during that period so I was stuck but ended up falling in love.

My passions are in long form and feature writing. Writing about people and finding stories in unlikely places are what drive me.

On weekends you can find me at live music shows, doing art in various parks and riding my bike.
