From D.C. to NYC to Austin to Carrboro, NC. Drawing non-human animals, painting invertebrates; writing and blogging and filming; showing up and doing the footwork.

I feel lucky to have been born in a family that encouraged independence in thought and action. My brain is capable of making, and applying, connections most people don't or can't make. I was told I'm a "skip thinker," meaning I can leap from subject to subject to something that may seem wildly unrelated to many people, and do so articulately. Intensely creative, prone to intricate narrative dreams-- any morning on a project I wake up with a new, good idea--I am also focused and disciplined in my work. As an artist I've learned to be self-starting and good at meeting deadlines.
