A member of the New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain, the Physicians North American Neuromodulation Society, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Dr. Samuel Caruthers has broad experience in pain management and anesthesiology. Currently, Dr. Samuel "Sam" Caruthers treats patients at the North Jersey Interventional Pain Center, where he utilizes a range of techniques to help patients restore function and improve their quality of life.

Coordinating care with a team of physical therapists, chiropractors, and other therapists, Dr. Caruthers treats pain with interventions such as epidurals, piriformis blocks, and radiofrequency ablation. He also uses Botox in the treatment of migraines and for aesthetic purposes.

Board certified in pain management, Dr. Sam Caruthers graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. After earning a medical degree from the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, he completed a residency in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. His hobbies include reading historic autobiographies and listening to music.
