Samuel Durrant

My name is Sam Durrant, and I’m the owner of STIWDIO UN (Welsh for STUDIO ONE).

I've been recording sound and producing music for 27 years. My background stems from classical music such as recording solo material, soundtrack scores and various ensembles.

I have worked extensively with concert PA systems on the festival circuit in the 90’s and subsequently on the Welsh music scene.

This led to me building a previous recording studio in Waunfawr near Caernarfon, North Wales, which is now Gwynfryn , a community based recording studio.

I have recorded most genres of music including choirs and brass bands through to rock and pop bands with everything in-between (Afro Beat, Hip-Hop, Opera, Folk, Death Metal, Jazz and World Music) and of course voice-overs and radio plays.

I have truly eclectic taste in music with over 6000 albums on vinyl and several thousand on CD and I enjoy helping people achieve any sound they can describe in the studio.
