Samuele Bariani

I am a Professional Counsellor in Milan and a Registered Psychotherapist in Toronto. After eight years in Canada, I returned to Italy to establish my private practice in Milan while continuing to work with clients in Canada through online therapy and regular in-person visits. I am fluent in English and Italian and I can speak functional Spanish.

My experience includes working with individuals, youth and families who faced a variety of different issues such as anxiety, stress management, sadness, worries, emotional regulation, loneliness, relationships and family concerns, parenting, and spirituality. I work from a client centered, anti-oppressive and trauma informed perspective. I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Being Italian and having lived abroad for over 8 years has given me the opportunity to understand the challenges of becoming immersed in a new culture. Therefore, I have a deep specific interest in supporting people who deal with the challenges of being a foreigner, immigrant or newcomer. I believe we are not called to this journey alone and there are times in our lives when we may need to reach out for help.
