Samuel Ibanda

Samuel Ibanda- CPA is an Award Winning Finance and Tax Specialist with a strong accounting and financial background.

He holds a first class Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Makerere University, CPA qualification of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and Several other trainings including Sustainable Development with Drake University, USA

His current role as Finance Manager involves taking overall responsibility and strategic leadership in guiding the finance roles of the Save the Children International’s Eastern Uganda regional office. Previously, he worked in various finance functions and has had exposure on various accounting systems. Whilst working with Alliance One International and Vodafone Uganda, he was key tax person and instrumental in installing and reinforcing the SAP financial systems. He also boasts vast understanding of the NGO accounting Systems like the quick books , Tally, Agresso System among others.

He has experience in the area of consultancy and capacity building. While working with Imprint Uganda Limited a leading management consultancy firm, He was a project manager and facilitator on key successful projects like Training of finance for Non-finance managers course for Total Uganda, Revenue Forecast modeling and roll out for National Water and Sewage Corporation, Culture and strategy training for Barclays Bank Uganda Top management team, Project Manager- Development of Feasibility Study and Business Plan for Busitema University Incubation Center under HEST project on behalf of the Private Sector Foundation Uganda funded by the African Development Bank among other key projects.

Samuel is the 2019 recipient of the best male employee award recognition for Save the Children Eastern Region and a Nominee for the Young Accountants Awards organised by ICPAU.
