Samuel Levy
Samuel Levy leads a team of employees at a San Diego, California, branch of the well-known bookstore chain Barnes & Noble, Inc. Samuel Levy ensures that all workers provide excellent customer service and perform their job duties to the best of their abilities. He earned Employee of the Month honors as a testament to his expertise in keeping the store running smoothly. Samuel Levy attended the University of California, San Diego, from 1984 to 1988, where he studied communications and made the dean’s list. He took advantage of the school’s excellent undergraduate programs and embraced the university’s emphasis on public service and community engagement. Samuel Levy remains proud to have matriculated at a university that comprises a world-renowned faculty, and he fully supports the school’s dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Although Samuel Levy works full-time, giving back to the community serves as an important factor in his life, and he contributes to a number of charitable organizations. Samuel Levy provides meals for the disadvantaged at his local soup kitchen and maintains membership in the local chapter of Rotary International, a 1.2-million-member organization in which volunteers fight hunger, provide job training and education, promote peace, and improve sanitation and health. Samuel Levy proudly serves this outfit, which chose the motto “Service Above Self.” In addition, Samuel Levy supports The Salvation Army, another organization that provides a host of programs to benefit the underserved. Samuel Levy also contributes to Greenpeace, which remains committed to a global campaign to save the environment and promote peace. In addition to managing his staff at Barnes & Noble and employing his gifts for social good, Samuel Levy enjoys mountain biking, bass fishing, and reading. His favorite author is Tom Clancy, and Samuel Levy lists The Hunt for Red October among his most cherished titles.
