Samuel Mason is a dedicated member to the field of Education and has worked hard to establish a career for himself. Sam currently works as a Co-Teacher at Greenwich Country Day School in Greenwich Connecticut where he teaches kindergarten and coaches 7th grade soccer and varsity basketball.

Samuel Mason graduated from Denison University in Ohio where he majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Education. At Denison University, Sam was given the opportunity to teach at 6 different schools. This opportunity allowed Sam to gain experience working with students of all ages.

While working at these schools in college, Sam discovered his passion for teaching and working with children. He decided to invest himself in as many facets of the education world as he could. His passion for teaching provide Sam with the motivation to give back to his community. He appreciates the inspirational teachers that he had along his educational journey who have paved the way for him and instilled the importance of giving back.

Samuel Mason has been a teaching assistant in a 3rd grade classroom where he worked one on one with students who had varying mental disabilities. He also became a member of the Denison Big Brothers Big Sisters Program where he continues to mentor students from low-income areas.

Sam went on to become the President of Tutoring at the Pro Teen Center where he tutors and mentors students that have dropped out of high school. Sam helped to develop a curriculum that would help teens get back on track after dropping out of high school through hands on practice and activities that his students could implement into their daily routines.

In Fall of 2013, Samuel Mason moved to Seddan, New Zealand to spend a semester abroad WOOFing on an organic vineyard. There he learned about sustainable and organic agriculture and was responsible for helping to take care of the vineyard, the crops, and attending to livestock. This experience inspired Sam to bring the practices he had learned abroad back to Ohio with him. Sam was able to combine his passions for the environment with his passion for education by co-creating the Denison Sustainable Farming Orientation.
