Phin Upham
Phin Upham has specialized in global macro and special situations for a family office / hedge fund. Previously, Phin worked for Morgan Stanley. He has also written for several papers, including the National Post in Toronto, Canada, and the United Press International (UPI) in Washington, where he authored a nationally syndicated column.
During his studies at both undergraduate school and graduate school, Phin wrote numerous papers that were published in scholarly journals. While studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania Phin focused on innovation. His work resulted in several essays, including the 2008 essay, "Analyzing knowledge communities using foreground and background clusters." In 2010, he wrote, "Analyzing Knowledge Communities." While earning his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Harvard University, he wrote the essay "Freedom for the Future: The Independent Value of Freedom in Light of Uncertainty."
