New York-based volunteer and philanthropist, Samuel Pinion, is dedicated to providing quality and equal education to children in low socioeconomic neighborhoods and underfunded schools. His passion for education stemmed from his recognition that his private and quality schooling created opportunities that helped enable his social mobility—opportunities seldom offered to children all over the world.

He is a board member for Pencils of Promise and Friends of Will, as well as a volunteer at iMentor New York. He also believes in the importance of volunteering close to home. He is a Friend to the Hudson River Park and regularly volunteers at St. Joe's Soup Kitchen.
