Samuel Shepherd Wilson serves as an assistant intelligence staff officer for the 4-118th Infantry Battalion of the United States Army National Guard. In this role, he provides intelligence support, development, and dissemination, which allow the commander to make sound battlefield decisions in support of the battalion’s missions. His responsibilities also include deploying and monitoring operations security and offering advice on enemy methods and tactics. Further, Samuel Shepherd Wilson provides company intelligence support teams with key data related to the security posture of unit members.
In addition to his work with the 4-118th Infantry Battalion, Wilson is pursuing a master’s degree in intelligence studies with a concentration in intelligence collection at American Military University. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, and studied at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. He has also completed the Military Intelligence Basic Officers Leaders Course at Fort Huachuca in Arizona.
