Line is the sword, curve is the shield, space is the battlefield. I am a highly experienced multi-media artist with a vast knowledge of the creative industry. I am an individual with a keen eye for detail in the plastic arts. Only 'The Impending Nothingness' residing within and pervading throughout all things inspires me. "Art does not lie down on the bed that is made for it, it runs away as soon as one mentions its' name., it loves to be incognito. Its' best moments are when it forgets what it is called."- Jean Dubuffet. I am, firstly a sentient being, next politically aware and then I am the artist that I am. I was brought up in a working class, Christian family. By the age of 12 I was busking in the West End of London. By the age of 20 I was homeless. I have moved around the English countryside and have been involved in the squatting, traveling and the illegal rave scene. Throughout this time I have been involved with various theatres, community spaces, gatherings, art studios and other arts related projects. I now live and work in London. I worked for many years with a group of about 12 other artists who go by the name of SageArts. I have also taught art and am now training to be a lecturer in The History of Art. I am a committed Christian involved in completing art commissions for my local church. I am now tentatively venturing out into the world as a solo performance and visual artist.
About My Art:
My work is deep and thoughtful. It bears the deep scars of a childhood in which I attempted to integrate my faith in God whom I love, with the hypocrisy of the abusive behaviour shown to me by my Christian caregivers. Here lies an imaginary landscape, a bridge between two worlds, where I explore my own private mythology and inner world. Death and the ability to change or not to change are recurrent themes.
The only tradition is revolution- Leonardo Da'vinci
