Jose Sanchez

Though my career has taken a new path, I have always had a great interest in numbers. I originally received my bachelor’s degree in Finance from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business in Manhattan, NY. After graduating, I decided I wanted to work for the NYC public school system for a couple of years. This decision turned into an exciting and gratifying 8 year career as a public middle-school Math teacher. ​Although I loved teaching Math to students in Brooklyn, I relocated back to Houston, my hometown, in late 2012, seeking opportunities in the accounting profession. I am currently completing coursework at the University of Houston's Certificate of Accountancy Program (CAP) while working full time as an office manager at Patagonia Legacy. I also tutor students having difficulty in Math during my weekends. Although, I know the road ahead may not be easy, I am excited to finally refocus on the business world and build a rewarding Accounting career.
