César S. Álvarez holds the position of Professor of Social Work and Social Mediation at the University of Zaragoza in Spain. Previously, for a period of four years, he served as a Professor of Social Economy and Public Policy, specializing in Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods at La Salle University in Bogotá, Colombia.

Dr. Álvarez earned his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of Valencia in Spain. Additionally, he holds a degree in Economy and Management of Cooperative Enterprises and Non-Profit Organizations from the University of Bologna in Italy.

His current research is centered on the application of Social Economy to rural and urban development policies. Dr. Álvarez actively engages in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, aiming to generate evidence that informs public policy decisions. His dedication to this field reflects his commitment to advancing knowledge and contributing to the development of effective strategies for societal progress.
