Sandisile Tshuma

International Development Advisor, ASRHR Advocate, and SBCC Specialist in West Africa

I am a public health specialist with a laser focus on sub-Saharan Africa. I have worked with international NGOs, United Nations agencies and community-based organizations supercharging the work they do to build the “Africa we want.” I add the most value when I am leading programme design and management, monitoring and evaluation and social and behaviour change communication at the confluence of health and education.

As an innovation junkie, my interests range from the use of digital health solutions to solve complex public health problems to the intersection of business and the social sector to solve "wicked problems" using human-centred design.

I am passionate about the wellbeing of children and young people and offer my personal time and resources to the following organizations whose work inspires me every day: Aluwani, COPESSA, Kgololo Academy, Nanga Vhutshilo, Kliptown Youth Program and SOS Children's Villages.

A published author, I am sold on the power of storytelling to drive change. My goal is to create opportunities to amplify the voices of those on the margins and to promote transformative narratives within the African continent.

Let me know if you would like to collaborate or chat further. I'm always happy to connect with people in the business of changing the world.
