Boston, Massachusetts, United States
I am a current PhD student in Health Policy Political Analysis at Harvard University.
While in school, I am interested in studying Medicaid eligibility and enrollment, Marketplace enrollment and implementation issues and long-term services and supports and other issues for Medicare-Medicaid beneficiaries.
Prior to starting my PhD, I spent six years in Washington, DC working on the passage and implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Most recently, I was the spokesperson for Medicaid and HealthCare.gov at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I also worked on the Affordable Care Act for the Budget Office of HHS for two years following the passage of the law. While earning my masters degree from George Washington University, I worked at the Center for American Progress and the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee.
I am originally from California and am fiercely proud of the Golden State.
