Sandra Negron is an experienced designer with a passion for innovation, earth-centric thinking integrated with human-centric design, and education. She has deep industry knowledge of strategic product design development and marketing, with eight years of experience in residential/commercial areas, specializing in furniture and textiles. Prior to returning to graduate school, Sandra served as a curriculum coordinator, and instructor, of product design and photography to Rhode Island’s underserved youth at AS220, a nonprofit community arts space in downtown Providence. Sandra engaged youth in classes from creation, to production, to market, as well as facilitated the art direction, search and identification of exhibition spaces for student shows. After she received a Masters in textile design from the Rhode Island School of Design, she worked at the number one jobber in the country, Kravet Inc., where her contributions yielded top-selling textile color book collections regularly recognized monthly by the company. Sandra developed analytical, entrepreneurial, and traditional management skills as a graduate of the MBA program in Design Strategy at the California College of the Arts enabling her with a design strategist’s perspective and keen eye for the triple bottom line.
