Program Coordinator in Kingston, ON, Canada
Sandra has served and supported the Centre for Teaching and Learning and educators at Queen's University since the Centre opened its doors in January 1992. She brings fervour and thoughtfullness to all that she does, no matter how small the task.
In 2012, she wrote and submitted a proposal to bring a national conference on teaching and learning in higher education to Queen's in June 2014. After the proposal was accepted by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE), she was appointed Conference Administrator for STLHE 2014: Tranforming our Learning Experiences. Although the conference is now over, it was a once-in-a-lifetime (perhaps) opportunity to coordinate a 3 1/2 day event (in collaboration with St. Lawrence and the Royal Military College) highlighting the importance of "effective teaching" in colleges and universities across Canada.
She is honoured to support those who care about how they teach and not just what they teach.
