Sandy M. Fernández

I've been a writer or editor at Ms., Time, and The Washington Post, among other publications. Some of my freelance work has appeared in Elle, Salon, Outside and The New York Times (you can see them at sandymfernandez.com), and my piece about witness memory and the justice system, “Misremembrance of Things Past,” won a media award from the National Council on Crime and Delinquency. I live outside New York City—close enough to be able to commute, far enough away to enjoy both a spacious garden and a blue-collar husband.
