Sanford's Home Inspections

My name is Scott Sanford. I am a home inspector and a man of faith. I am also a carpenter by trade and worked in the building industry for over thirty years. When the building industry crashed in 2008, my wife suggested I go into home inspection. I initially said no, because home inspectors have a reputation for dishonesty and I didn't want to be associated with that. She challenged me to be an honest home inspector on whom homeowners could rely to be truthful.

So I went into home inspection.

My experience as a carpenter spans many areas of building, from new construction, and remodeling to historic restorations and from footings to roofing and everything in between. I truly believe that in order to properly recognize deficiencies and safety concerns in a home, you must have an understanding of how buildings are put together.
