With incredible skill and a penchant for styling and educating on multi-textured hair, Saniyyah Griffin is a stylist and brand educator with over ten years of retail management and beauty experience. The Los Angeles native honed her skill at AVEDA Institute SoHo in New York City, after opening and managing the Carol’s Daughter flagship salon, MIRROR, in Harlem for one year prior.

Saniyyah’s natural talent for sales pushed her to become the Operations Manager for Carol’s Daughter’s ESSENCE Music Festival pop-up store in New Orleans from 2010 to 2013, in addition to managing operations of the Atlanta flagship store. During her stint, she helped launch the brand’s Mary J. Blige fragrance, which sold at record numbers, as well as provided new product training at Sephora University for the brand’s store inclusion.

In early 2015, Saniyyah was the principal stylist for the Etxeberria NYFW show, providing sleek looks for the runway. She also worked an apprenticeship under Hair Rules founder, Anthony Dickey, who the New York Times called a “style svengali” for his looks on Alicia Keys, First Lady Michelle Obama, Kelis, Rihanna and Sarah Jessica Parker. Saniyyah learned many of Dickey’s specific styling practices, which combine versatility with intense knowledge of varying hair textures.

Today, she’s honed her own expertise in the management and growth of natural hair, including properly consulting with clients, twisting, fingerstyling and innovative curly-to-straight techniques. She has educated for AVEDA, Carol's Daughter, Shea Moisture and Madam C.J. Walker brands, and has been featured on Centric TV for her work at the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show.
